The BA Experience was founded in 2025 by a team of passionate Business Analysts based in Portsmouth, England - professionals with decades of combined experience delivering quality work across real-world projects.
Why we built this
We know what it takes to succeed as a Business Analyst, because we've lived it. We've seen the gaps in training, the lack of practical guidance, and the frustration that comes from theory that doesn't translate to the real world. So we spent 2025 carefully curating our materials and designing a business that truly serves aspiring and experienced BAs alike.

Meet the Team
Mark Churchman
Mark has 12+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, specialising in the energy retail market.
He progressed from Junior to Senior BA in a relatively short time and is BCS certified.
He has trained and mentored many BAs whilst working on various large-scale projects and programmes.
Mark is skilled at working in both waterfall and agile project environments, and is currently embedded in a highly agile engineering team.
Darren Ward
Darren is an experienced Business Analyst with over 12 years' experience working across some of the UK's leading energy companies. Having worked across a range of permanent and contract positions, he has gained a broad perspective on different organisational cultures, challenges, and ways of working.
Throughout his career, Darren has led Business Analysis teams, supported and mentored other Business Analysts, and helped organisations develop and embed effective Business Analysis practices. He combines hands-on experience with a practical, people-focused approach, helping teams and organisations get the most from Business Analysis.
